You bring the wine and we will provide the materials, refreshments, and an experienced artist to guide you on your creative journey!

Enjoy an evening with other wonderful women, sipping on delicious wine, while exploring your creative side.  Your group leader, Brooke will help set the atmosphere for your art making by providing a theme and helping to facilitate the creative process. This is a great opportunity for you to meet other women in the area that share your fervor for creative self-expression…and wine!

All workshops are held from 7-9:30pm at our Center in Downtown Silver Spring. Past workshops have included book making, acrylics on canvas, card making, and creating treasure boxes.

March 16, 2012 – Book Making

Why spend money on an ordinary blank book when you can make your very own unique book design from scratch?  Your instructor, Brooke, will teach you techniques for making your very own book, that you can use for any number of purposes, such as a journal, notebook, or a scrapbook to name a few.  In this workshop you will be able to choose between a few different methods of binding for your book as well as techniques for decorating the cover.  All levels of skill and experience with crafting and art making are welcome!

April 20, 2012 – Picture Frames

In this workshop learn how to make a lovely picture frame from scratch!  Your instructor, Brooke, will provide materials and the instruction for making your own unique picture frame.  The resulting picture frame will accommodate 4″ x 6″ photos, so be sure to bring a favorite photo along to test it at when you’re finished creating!  The construction of your frame will consist of assembling various small wood pieces followed by painting and embellishing your frame to give it a truly unique and personal finish.  All levels of skill and experience with crafting and art making are welcome!
